The group diSIP founded by Gazzman Couleur, former lead singer of Nu Look, is set to make it grand premier on the Haitian live music scene. Gazzman Couleur, considered as one of best singer in konpa music, and dISIP have a daunting task ahead living up to meet the high expectations generated by the creation of this band.
dISIP has officially introduced its line-up to the Haitian media and blogs. Talented veteran guitarists Gabriel Laporte and Patrick Pluviose have joined the group, and the musicians list include Marc "Sexy Beef" Celestin Jr. ( bass), Lesly "T-Doo" Charles ( cowbell), Jean Baptiste Louis (Drummer) Ricot "T-Tanbou" Amazan ( African Congas), and Michel "Dobodo" Yves Clement (Keyboard).
“"PA KONDANEM", dISIP newly released single, has received mix reviews from music critics and bloggers. Nonetheless, the song has generated tons of internet buzz.
dISIP is certainly one of top emerging Haitian acts to watch in 2010. The band has already secured a spot on the 2010 Kompa Festival ( the largest Haitian festival in the World), and they already are scheduled to play in Canaca, New York, and other major cities.
"We know that the expectations are high for dISIP and we are confident in our ability to meet them. Our primary focus now is putting together an unforgettable grand premiere scheduled for Sunday, April 4th in Pembroke Pines, Florida", according to the group press release.
